Born in Ottawa, Canada, he studied History and English at the University of Ottawa. He harbours a keen interest in culture, folklore, genealogy and regional cookery. He spent a significant amount of his childhood in Belgium and has traveled extensively throughout North America and Europe. He has worked and lived in the Turks and Caicos Islands, England and Cyprus; all the time observing and researching, gathering material and inspiration to complete this first novel. He now resides in St John’s, Newfoundland with his wife Rachel and daughter Olivia.
